Familial Breast and Ovarian Cancer Clinic
A unique clinic staffed by gynecologic oncologists, clinical geneticists, clinical psychologists and genetic counsellors to provide risk assessment, counselling, genetic testing, ovarian cancer screening and risk reduction strategies for women and families considered to be at risk of an inherited genetic predisposition to ovarian (and also breast) cancer.

The Gerry & Nancy Pencer Brain Tumor Centre treats the “whole patient” through all stages of disease. The Harold and Shirley Lederman Palliative Care Centre
The first of its kind in Canada. A comprehensive cancer facility providing specialized end-of-life care, research and clinical training in the care of patients with advanced and terminal cancer. Using a team approach combining medicine, nursing, physiotherapy, social work, chaplaincy and other disciplines, the Centre will offer palliative services in a holistic manner with attention to the physical, social, psychological and spiritual needs of patients and their families.

The M. Lau Breast Centre
One in ten Canadian women diagnosed with breast cancer currently receives treatment at Princess Margaret Hospital. The Breast Centre collaborates multidisciplinary teams representing medical, surgical and radiation oncology, as well as psychosocial support and palliative care. The Centre contains a resource library, the latest technology in diagnostic imaging, a high risk/breast cancer prevention clinic, surgical oncology operating rooms, and delivers chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

The Philip S. Orsino Facility for Cell Therapy
This state-of-the art facility enables Princess Margaret Hospital to break new ground in treatment options for leukemia and other cancer patients. The Philip S. Orsino Facility for Cell Therapy is the country’s largest cell processing facility and Princess Margaret Hospital is the only institution in all of Canada capable of performing specialized types of bone marrow transplants. With the creation of this Facility, Princess Margaret Hospital is able to offer Canadians the best possible treatment right here at home.

The Philip S. Orsino Hematology Centre
Princess Margaret Hospital is home to the largest in-patient leukemia unit in Canada, and the second largest in North America. The Philip S. Orsino Hematology Centre serves as a resource for patients with different forms of leukemia. The leukemia group works closely with transplant programs to provide the best possible care for patients. One of the major components of the Centre is the established Philip S. Orsino Facility for Cell Therapy.

The Prostate Centre
The Center offers a Prostate Prevention Clinic providing clinical care and prostate cancer prevention information to people who may be at risk of developing prostate cancer. PSA tests, the diagnostic test for prostate cancer, are performed on-site in about one hour. The Centre also conducts vital research to better understand the causes and development of prostate disease.

The Bras New Drug Development Program
The goal of the Bras New Drug Development Program is to rapidly conduct phase I and phase II clinical trials of new anti-cancer drugs, putting patient safety paramount during the design and implementation of every study.  These could be trials sponsored by pharmaceutical companies or by the National Cancer Institutes (U.S. and Canada). Most of the trials focus on the ten priority disease sites: colorectal, pancreas, renal, bladder, prostate, small cell and non-small cell lung, ovary, cervix and head and neck.

The Wharton Head & Neck Centre
Canada’s only multidisciplinary centre devoted exclusively to the research, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of head and neck cancers. Princess Margaret Hospital’s head and neck cancer program focuses on cancers of the lip, tongue, mouth, palate, pharynx, larynx, upper trachea and nasal pharynx.
